Pack 23 - Golden Empire CouncilIMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
Dear Scouting Families, The last few years have been tough on Scouting of America, and especially hard on our small group. Covid saw our numbers drop significantly, as well as membership in our Charter Organization, The Lions. Each passing year we have had fewer and fewer volunteers to help run our pack. Unfortunately, we are at a point where Pack 23 is no longer able to function as it should. We do not have the bare minimum of adult leadership that is required to successfully manage a pack. We have made the decision to merge Pack 23 with Grass Valley Pack 783. This may or may not be a temporary change. Pack 23 is a pack rich with history, and we would hate to simply disband. Our goal is to be able to once again revive Pack 23 to its former glory. In the meantime, our scouts deserve to be able to experience scouting in its entirety. We believe that combining Packs 23 and 783 will allow us to do that.
